Carlyle
Curtis, O.D. has been a practicing Optometric physician
in Albany since 1992. He received his optometry degree from
the University of Houston where he graduated as a national honors
student. He received faculty recognition awards in both research and clinical
patient treatment. At the University of Houston Clinic, he
conducted research in stereo vision and depth perception
Dr. Curtis went on to extern at the William Beaumont Army
Hospital at Fort Bliss, Texas with an emphasis in general family
optometry. He also was an extern at the Portland Veteran's
Hospital in Portland with an emphasis in geriatric eye care..
Dr. Curtis is nationally certified in the
treatment and management of ocular disease. In 2003, he
took additional training to upgrade the level of his license in
the treatment of eye disease. He is a member of
the American Optometric Physician's Association, the
Oregon Optometric Physician's Association, and the BSK National
Honor Society. He is also certified
by the Casey Eye Institute to co-manage patients for refractive
surgery such as LASIK.
Besides providing eye care services, Dr.
Curtis enjoys music, sports, photography, speaking Japanese,
hiking and spending time with his family.
