Our safety glasses meet OSHA requirements for on-the-job use where potential eye hazards exist. We have over 60 different styles of safety eyewear to choose from.

Did you know more than 600,000 eye injuries related to sports and recreation occur each year? In order to reduce this number, we strongly encourage the use of sports protective eyewear for children and adults. Sports protective glasses incorporate frame and fit technologies to reduce the probability of eye injuries. Our doctors always recommend safety frames and lenses for all sports activities.

Sunglasses

Sunglasses

Did you know?:

  • UV exposure may lead to premature macular degeneration.
  • 20% of people with cataracts have them due to UV damage.
  • 3.2 million people go blind each year due to prolonged UV exposure.

Polarized sunglass lenses provide superior protection compared to regular tinted lenses. A polarized lens blocks 100% of harmful UVA and UVB rays that come from the sun. They also filter glare and provide truer color with increased visual clarity.

Sunglass brands we carry include: Oakley, Maui-Jim, Ray-Ban, Pucci, Fendi, Juicy Couture, Kate Spade, Coach and BCBG. Check with our opticians to find out about other brands we may have available or can order.

Contact Lenses

Recent improvements in lens materials have even made it possible for those who could not previously wear contact lenses to enjoy the benefits of contact lens wear.

Gas Permeable, Scleral, and MiSight Lenses

Gas Permeable, Scleral, and MiSight Lenses

Gas permeable contact lenses are contact lenses made of hard plastic materials that are designed to allow oxygen to pass through.

Scleral lenses are a type of large diameter gas permeable contact lens. Instead of covering only a portion of the cornea like a traditional gas permeable contact lens, these large diameter contact lenses cover the entire corneal surface.

MiSight lenses are daily disposable, soft contact lenses used to control myopia (nearsightedness) progression in children. Myopia control is designed to change the focusing power of the eye while it’s still in its growth of development. If not addressed, myopia can get progressively worse in your child as they grow older. If your child has been diagnosed with myopia, or if you would like to reduce the likelihood of your child developing myopia, schedule an appointment with us today and ask your optometrist about MiSight.

Your Contact Lens Exam and Fitting

Your Contact Lens Exam and Fitting

During your contact lens exam the doctor will take very specific measurements of your eye, so that you may be assured of the best possible fit. Some of these tests include the size and front curvature of your eye, the cells of your cornea, and the diameter needed for your contact lenses. These measurements will be taken on an annual basis. Changes may warrant the need for updates of your existing contact lens prescription or style, even though they may feel comfortable to you. After your exam you will be directed to the contact lens technician. They will schedule your contact lens fitting, answer any questions you may have, and also discuss fees with you.
